Me ignoramus just learned by scanning the deep spaces of the virtual universe that they are by no means vegetarian, but right on the contrary just go after snails, worms and other ‘creeping’ life. Doesn’t look like it really.

Question by Lynda K: Why does my kitten pee in my bed at night?
I have an 8 week old kitten. She uses the litter box during the day. At night she sneaks in my room and pees in my bed about 5 am. I took her to the vet and she was treated for a tapeworm and roundworms. Ever since she was wormed she has been peeing in my bed. This is the fourth night after the medication and she still pees. Should I get rid of her?

  2. I think a nice soft bed in a cage with her litter box is a nice place for it to sleep from now on….

  3. Maybe she’s trying to tell you something. DON’T get rid of her though. When my Stimpy is pissed at me{pun intended} sleeps on my pillow and lets farts. My training is comming along nicely thank you. Be conciderate; it’s probubly a passing phase.

  4. Maybe you should find her a good home that can take care of her properly.

She is a kitten. If she is peeing at night in your bed it is normally a sign of something unhealthy going on in her body. It could also be that you haven’t taken the time to train her properly.

Maybe a kitten is just too much of responsibility for you right now. If you have thoughts of getting rid of her – then please do.

  5. Read the perscription for her medicine if she has one. If not, take her too the vet again and tell them that she still keeps urinating on your bed. Ask them if it’s maybe because of her diet? I hope this helped!

  6. until a cat is one year old it has to sleep, at night time with its kitty litter box next to it. so its often a good idea to put them in the laundry or bathroom at night time. it also helps to stop the kitten from weeing any where else

  7. No she is trying to get her smell in the house most likely. It also could be that she doesn’t like the litter box after she has used it a few times. Try changing the type of litter, clean it before bed or maybe even get a new box altogether it could be the medicine is making a strong smell and the plastic can absorb this. I have had cats and when they start this in the bed or someplace else I always try the new litter and cleaning the box out more then before. If I can’t go out at that moment and buy a new one I will dump the litter out and wash the box out maybe let some bleach sit in it for a little bit and that usually fixes the problem.

  8. Once a cat pees somewhere, they will keep going there. She may come into your room to be with you, smell it and pee again. Even though you clean it, she can still smell it. Go get some “Urine Gone” and spray the mattress really well and let dry. Re-wash sheets with something like Oxiclean and maybe even put another litter box in your room for a while. Keep her, re-training just takes a while sometimes.
