Found this guy in the parking lot at the vet today. I was afraid he was going to get hurt so I relocated him back to the flower bed. He was the coolest worm I’ve ever seen and actually quite large! (Straight out of the camera, not even a crop!)

I think it’s a Tersa Sphinx caterpillar: www.duke.edu/~jspippen/naturephotos/tersa-sphinx.htm

  4. There is such thing. Mostly animals, and younger kids get these (usually from playing with dogs or whatever). But its as simple as you ingested worm eggs at some time through eating and not washing your hands or whatever reason. They’ll go through your tract and, I’m not sure, but I think they’ll pass through on their own. You may wanna look into it though.

  5. My daughter had this one time, its pinworms and no it doesn’t go away on its own, only gets worse with time. You need to get a pill from the doctor and it will take care of them, they are very contagious. If you let them they will live in your intestines and colon and lay their eggs at night…thats why you see them in your bed they come out at night.

  6. Threadworms? They infect the humans stomach and digestive tract and they can come out through the anus, which would explain how they ended up in the bed. Unpleasant but the best explanation I can think of.

  8. Priscilla is right; you probably have pinworms. But you probably can take care of this on your own without going to a doctor. There are over-the-counter medications for pinworms. If you can’t find what you need on a drug-store shelf, ask the pharmacist.
