Question by ag: Which would you recommend, a 10 gallon starter tank from Aquaculture, or from Top Fin?
I’m looking to get one. Both come with the same things and everything, it’s just that the tank from Aquaculture is cheaper at the store. What do you think?

  3. Go with Top Fin, Top Fin is a more well known brand. I am a very satisfied customer of Top Fin products

  5. Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter since both come with basically the same things, and both use the same company to make their products. Perhaps the only difference that matters is in the filters – Top Fin uses Whisper filters, while Aquaculture uses an old line of Penguin filters. In this case, I prefer Whispers (Top Fin) myself. One thing you could check is the price of the cartridges for both filters. If one is noticeably cheaper than the other, it would save you money in the long run.
