New Zealand’s seat of government, nicknamed the Beehive.

Question by Summer: Which wood is best for a beehive to be constructed from?
Which wood will outlast all others? There are so many manufactures of beehives and of course everyone is stating that theirs is “Best”. I’d like to purchase some hives that are made with durability, ease of clean, etc. in mind.

Anyone familiar with what is TRULY the best???
I didn’t expect Pine to be something that would last under such conditions b/c it’s a “soft” wood…. I thought more along the lines of hard wood construction.

What do you think? Answer below!
