Question by APHA AQHA horse cowgirl: What to feed chickens anad ducks?
I am getting 6 laying hens, and 2 female khaki Campbell laying ducks. Well I am getting them as day olds, but when they get old enough to lay, what can I feed to the chickens and ducks? I saw layena crumbles but I am not sure if I can give that to the ducks also, or walmart has egg maker. Also when they are babies can I give the same thing to the ducks as I would give to the chickens for eat? Thanks! 10 points to most helpful answer!

  1. You should probably get a crumbled feed for your little chicklets at Tractor Supply. If you don’t have that, very finely crushed crackers or stale bread will do. Make sure you give them water. You can give ducks and chickens the same things to eat pretty much.

  2. I have chickens. I would recommend getting a chicken feed that has the laying formula for them when they are grown when they are just little chicks get them the feed that goes along with their ages, go check out Tractor Supply and ask their workers they are VERY helpful
