  1. Sustainable agriculture integrates three main goals–environmental health, economic profitability, and social and economic equity.

    Satisfy human food and fiber needs
    Enhance environmental quality and the natural resource base upon which the agricultural economy depends
    Make the most efficient use of nonrenewable resources and on-farm resources and integrate, where appropriate, natural biological cycles and controls
    Sustain the economic viability of farm operations
    Enhance the quality of life for farmers and society as a whole

  2. Sustainable Agriculture- Is farming land that is able to be sustained (kept around)
    It is important because it provides the food we eat and milk we drink and other many things that we use to survive, and it a essential part in our food chain without it we would not be able to live the way we do or depend on things like groshery stores for our food.
