I find this picture fascinating. That’s my grandpa as a young boy. Look at all those chickens! I have no idea if this was taken in Chicago or Milwaukee (my grandpa lived in both cities while he was growing up).
Question by : What can I feed my chickens now?
I am raising two chickens for my biology class and right now they’re about 4 weeks old, what should i feed them that i can find around the house? I need help fast cause i just realized that I’m out of starter feed and they’re very hungry. plz help me!! tomorrow I’ll be able to go the store but what should i feed them tonight?

corn flakes or corn meal. Other breakfast type cereal because it contains some grain. For just 2 chickens they will be OK until tomorrow. Always be a day or three ahead having grain for animals.

For now some chopped veggies and fruits should put them though tonight if you are really desperate then you can add a little bread mashed in there but not too much.Hope this helps!

Feeding the chicken just one food isn’t such a good idea, what about grain which is the basic food for a chicken, you will need to get some crushed corn or other grain ,a bag of mixed grain will suit very well, other than that nothing fancy ,if you cook & prepare vegetables at home, then all kitchen & table scraps will be relished, some greens like chopped spinach make a welcome food addative.
I hope this information is helpful.
Good Luck!
