Question by surfer_kid: What are the Florida law requirements for a beehive?
I’d like to get a beehive and I don’t know where to look for the Florida law requirements on owning one. Any suggestions?

  1. Unless you already know plenty on bee raising , get a book on bee raising and read it. In KY we have a county extension agent (state government agriculture agent) that we can contact for help. Florida most like has the same type of agency. If you live in a city , you may have some local ordinance on the subject. You could contact the city government for additional information. But I would try the Agriculture agent first.
