Through field trips and seminars, Bob Saul ’80 leads students through the theories and applications of sustainability in his Interterm course “Sustainable Forestry and Agriculture.” Saul, who serves as Partner and Director of Domestic Investments at Grantham, Mayo and Van Otterloo Renewable Resources, oversees a billion domestic farmland and forestland portfolio, and operates Pioneer Valley farms and tree plantations. In this video, Saul, his students, and local farmers discuss the economic viability of practices surrounding sustainability, organics and commercial production.
