  7. Does the cost of raising goats outweigh the benefit, monetarily speaking? In other words, would it be cheaper to buy goat’s milk/cheese from the store rather than raising them on our own?

  10. check to see what the codes are, and go from there. I only have 1 1/2 acre and I have the pens set up to where they can graze every 3rd day. If you live in the city, start with a small goat. I have Pygmy goats and they are all like pets. Goats are lots of fun. Good luck!

  12. well my goats are dairy goats but i raise them for meat on a small scale that’s why i feed them grain every day.

  13. I feed my goats grain about every 2nd or 3rd day. They seem to do really good and I have not had an issue with infections. I mostly feed hay or let them in the back pen that is full of vines, gras and brush.

  16. Saying that they can do well on leftovers and hay is poor information. They should not have leftovers…a well balanced diet of hay, grain and browse is the best. And wethers can eat grain…
