  9. Thanks for the reply, found your video on making foundation, awesome. I want to switch over and make my own frames, any suggestions on how to put cell starters without a mill until I can afford one? I have only a few hives. Thanks, nice job on the videos.

    I notice the guys are brushing the embossing rollers with a paint brush before they run the sheet through.
    What are they putting on the rollers?
    Or are they using it to wipe crud off if it?

  17. If been using a crock pot to melt wax for some time now…..also
    If you want to treat hive boxes with beeswax and linseed oil. The crock pot eliminates a fire hazard…..

  22. it depends on what you want.for the deeps I like 5-6 sheets to a lb,for the supers I use8=10 to a lb.the cut comb I make 12-15 sheets to a lb.I don’t buy from a supply house because you never know if its got chem’s in it.

  25. Thanks Don, how many deep foundation sheets can you make with one pound of wax? Any thoughts on buying wax blocks from supply houses if I’m short on wax?
