Is it okay to raise goats for religious purposes?

Question by duckie: Is it okay to raise goats for religious purposes?
They’re an integral part of our rituals. Our weird neighbors keep spying on us and I believe they are spreading rumors. Should we include them in our next ritual.?

  1. The goats or the neighbors? Either way, I say be easy on the curry. God isn’t a big curry guy as you can expect.

  3. If those rituals involve killing them, then probably not. That’d fall under animal cruelty.

  7. Yes. Sacrifice your neighbors instead of the goats. Good plan.

    Better plan?

    Eat them afterwards.

  11. Animal sacrifice is constitutionally protected free practice of religion, providing the animals are raised and sacrificed humanely.

  12. i understand your question.

A religious connected matter which are continued for decades together and many many elders tried to stop it, but in vain.
you and i can’t do anything. ok..

you come to this religious scene and expressing your concern, nice to hear. what to do with meat shop when they are cutting it? you may reply that is ”their business”,,,,, yes, it is their business no doubt. why they do business ? The people like it and want it.

on all matters, the people are involved. They like goat’s meat to eat, and in other scene they do ‘goat sacrifice’ to get away from sins.

Totally, the goat become an eatable item.

it is not okay, but you and i can’t do anything, since it is followed decades together.

i remember the law passed in tamilnadu, india’s state against goat sacrifice. The same withdrawn due to huge opposition from the people. The same law also passed in some other states too, but subsequently withdrawn.

now say may i answer ” okay ” or ”not okay”….

  13. We raise cows and poultry also for our human purposes and that is allowed so why not goats? No you cannot have your neighbours as food! That would be cannibalism.
