Question by fish king: Is a chicken coop and a chicken roost the same thing?
I am getting some chickens and i want to no if i have to get a chicken roost and a chicken coop!

  1. im fairly certain tht a roost is where they lay their eggs. and a coop is a place to keep then a nother word 4 it is pen.

  2. A chicken coop is where chickens go and sleep in at night, or go in for protection. I guess you can also call it a cage. A chicken roost is a bar that goes across the coop so that chickens can sleep on it at night.
