  1. “Nature abhors a vacuum”

If you don’t plant something in it, nature will. You can pull them, poison them, hoe them down, or smother them. Ten layers of newspaper, and another layer of mulch or compost, will smother most weeds. (not all, but many)

  2. Smooth an area about 3 feet long and they will take off.

  3. Hoe them out or smother them. Don’t leave it unplanted, or more weeds will show up.
