  1. Generally speaking: Fryers are younger chickens (more tender); Broilers are older chickens (less tender).

  2. A fryer will weigh 4 to 5 lbs. to dress and a broilr will weigh around 10 lbs. for a roaster.

  3. Fryers are smaller is size and in weight. they usually weigh about 4 pounds per bird or ten pounds for 2

    Broilers are larger. They usually weigh about 5 pounds per bird or 13 pounds for 2
