Shot by my father, Roger Dinda, in 1954; scanned from a slide. This is the photograph I’ve seen most often in my life, because it lived in Dad’s projector as the default slide. It cleaned up nicely.

On the day Dad was born, the nation was cheering Lindy, and raising money to rescue New Orleans. He’d have been 79 today.

I am kind of leaning towards chickens. A buff orpington.

  1. before you raise either one make sure you have the proper caging to handle either type. If you don’t have a small pool you could use for the ducks then i would go with chickens. and make sure you have a home waiting for them when your project is over if you don’t plan to keep them.
