  1. First you have to clear the weeds out. I guess you could mow them or use a weed wacker. It has to be all dirt where you plan to grow things.

  2. I go out with my tractor and disc and plow the field, then I seed the cover crop and drag the field to cover the seed. Set irrigation pipe lines and keep the soil damp until the cover crop comes up.

    Works for me, should work for you.
