How do I buy a car battery from Wall Mart?

Question by TALLguy18: How do I buy a car battery from Wall Mart?
Do I have to have it filled with acid or can I just pull one off the shelf and take it home.
I just need a new deep cycle battery for a solar power project, and I don’t need it installed.

  2. WALLMART only sells batteries that are already filled with acid. They wouldn’t take the liability
of putting acid on the shelves.

Just don’t forget to follow the charging instructions for the first time you charge it up. A regular
battery off the shelf will have a good charge ( although I always give it one anyway ), but a
Deep Cycle should be charged slow and well before you begin to use it.

    Hope this helps.

  3. I buy my batteries at Wally World. They come filled and ready to use. They are not only the cheapest batteries, but they seem to be the best too – a rare combination.

  4. You can just get one off the shelf, it would be a good idea to put it on a slow charge before using it or have it tested to make sure it has a full charge.

  5. they are already filled. And i suggest les schwab for that. I buy one battery from them and for the time i have the vehicle, which is usually about 6 years, i haven’t had to replace one yet.
