Commercial lotion can contain ingredients that are too harsh or harmful for skin. These ingredients can wrack havoc on skin. Skin may turn red, swell, burn, itch or have some other allergic reaction. Some people have allergic reactions to strong fragrances. Homemade natural goats milk lotion contains mild and gentle, natural fragrances. Several studies have reported results that indirectly support a correlation of the presence of parabens and the occurrence of breast cancer. It is believed that parabens can migrate into breast tissue and form tumors. Homemade goats milk lotion contains a paraben-free preservative. This keeps the lotion safe from biological contamination.
