  1. That’s not hydroponics. I was wondering if someone can grow fruit trees in
    water.

  2. Hi. I wanted to let you know that if your tree is still inside you need to
pollinate it. You can do so by taking pollen from the flowers with a q tip
and rubbing it on to other flowers. That will help you get fruit. The bees
normally do this but there are no bees in a green house 🙂 happy growing.

  3. Hey,

    any updates yet?
Is it still living ? 🙂
To what pH and EC do you adjust your irrigation water ? How often do you
    fertilize ?

  4. Great video brother! That looks like an awesome project and a sweet little
greenhouse too. That greenhouse is going to be a blessing I’m sure. Nice
    work.

  5. I’m prepping to build a greenhouse in my back yard and one of the things I
want to include is a hydroponic orange tree, but I’ve been having a tough
time finding info on hydroponic trees. I’ll be very interested in seeing
    updates on this guy.

  6. Will be interesting to see how it grows for you Larry.. Think you might
need to relocate the tree or extend the greenhouse in a year or so time ;)

  11. I have never grown citrus, but I never, never, never, never go from dirt to
hydro, at least indoors. I really hope you have success with it.

Coco is inert, so it doesn’t have nor hold any nutrients in it at all…and
it is recommended to add calcium and magnesium (Cal/Mag product). I use 4
ml per gallon (or about 250 ppm), when hydrating the brick to kind of
replace that before planting. If you plan to use RO water as well, then
CalMag is a must. I like CaliMagic from General Hydroponics.

Coco also likes the pH in the standard hydro range of 5.5 to 6.5. Most coco
bricks also fit perfectly inside of a 20 gallon tote for hydration. Pop it
in there, add your cal/mag water and let it rehydrate overnight. Keep what
you don’t use, covered in the bin.

    Happy growing.

  12. Great start for 2014′. Sure could use some 70 degree weather in Ky. Our
present temp is 30 degrees, sleet and snow until Tues. We started a grow
tent this year at our son- in-law. Been down due to illness, but wil back
up in few week. Keep the good works coming!
