When gold was at it’s greatest value the world also had no electricity,
petroleum or medical knowledge. At a time when every day was a fierce
struggle for enough calories to survive gold was still the king.

What I got from what seharris11 was saying is not to start prepping by
buying gold and silver. Start with the things that you need asap, water or
a way to get it, food and a way to produce it, etc…Once you have covered
your survival needs first, then buying gold or silver could be a good way
of storing your GOV backed paper money that you have earned. Gold and
silver should not be your starting point.

3200 watts of solar panels, 12ea 395 amp batterrries, two missouri wind
/solar charge controllers one Aims 8/16k power inverter. Will power a
115vac submersible well pump, two 550 watt window mount A/C units, a fridge
and some lights. It will take some time to put it together. I live on a
goat farm, I raise South African bore goats. This location has a water
table of 20′ down, and is Arizona’s largest. Spare parts for the well/
solar power sys are a priority.

It’s funny that you should say that because people trade useful goods &
services for very low value cupronickel coins and paper before SHTF. I’m
sure gold and silver will have its place as a medium of exchange.

I share your opinion on stocking gold and silver. There is no way I would
trade my food stores for gold without a way to replenish my supply. When
you are hungry a pound of rice will be worth more than a pound of gold.
Goats are easy to raise and reproduce rapidly. The Nannies I had would have
1-3 kids at a time. I think 5 months ten days is the full term of
pregnancy.

NO, End of the world as WE know it, ….could happen much faster than most
imagine. Soft kill from vaccines, chemtrails, GMO, and other BS
….ABSOLUTELY!! Back to Basics is a must have book, but there’s several
others. Medical supplies/knowledge will be HUGE in a SHTF.
