The fertilizer is readily available in ny and self- planted by a neighbor dog. Hey doggie, say hi to your mother for me.

Question by BS9999: Does Organic Fertilizer make my Lawn Greener?
Can someone tell me if Organic Fertilizers will make my lawn greener than using chemical fertilizers such as Scotts brand?

I just notice that the Organic Fertilizers values are so much lower and so i would think i would need to apply amounts of it over long periods for it to be noticeably the same as Scotts BUT i would imagine over time using a chemcial fertilizer like Scotts would destroy the pH value of my soil and i will have to use Lime to get it back into balance, while the organic i wil lnever have problems with pH and never any fertilizer burn

  1. I am very familiar with lawn care products and chemicals. I have been trained by Scott’s and can assure you that Scott’s products are the safest most efficient products on the market. When used properly and I stress “used properly” they weed, feed and green better that anything else. Even when a product is list as “organic”, you are still dealing with chemicals. Read the labels, follow the directions and if in doubt, call the “800” info line listed on the package. Don’t go overboard, use the recommended amount and follow the application directions. For best results use the complete Scott’s “Step” system, it’s worth the money.

  2. They most likely won’t. Both can burn your yard and the chemical gives you more bang for the buck. Just because something says “organic” doesn’t mean it is better.
