  2. I also use peat as a base for my bedding but I let soak in a bucket of
    water for a while then squeeze it out till its just damp. With that I will
    mix in moist corrugated cardboard and/or newspaper. I have mine inside and
    when I got my worms I didnt give them any food for a few days but I did
    sprinkle some cornmeal on the surface. Because its inside and worms will be
    disoriented I leave the light over the bin so the dont crawl out at least
    overnight.
