  5. Am looking forward to trying your recipe! My hubby has Type II & LOVES the
br sugar/molasses Ball recipe more than the tom juice; I am reckoning your
recipe will satisfy that flavour preference without all that sugar! Again
and again and again, thank you, sister goddess, for your wisdoms.

  10. Hooray !! This is a recipe that I WILL be making – Haven’t got any home
cured bacon (yet) so will have to use commercial, but I LOVE baked beans,
and these don’t have any of the nasty enhancers etc. that the commercial
    ones have.

  11. I finally got around to canning the beans! I definitely like your recipe
much better. The ball recipe has cloves and allspice in it and I did not
like that taste. I still ended up putting too many beans in the jars and
they are dry after canning. Will have to work on that.

  12. You put meat into the jars. Shouldn’t you process them longer?

  21. These look so much yummier than the store bought stuff…I suppose all
homemade is the same though huh? Will have to try and find a bean supplier
and give these a go, I suspect my boys would love them! Hugs, Li xx
