Question by Christina B: Can someone explain the Birds and the Bees story to me?(Please don’t post an answer if your gonna be an ass.)
All I know is it has something to do with the explination of sex to kids. But what in the world does Birds and Bees have to do with sex?

  2. That is interesting, the only thing I cam come up with is that they are both in nature, sex is natural, and possible because the bees pollinate the flower (those naughty bees). How birds fit in, I don’t know. Also, bees that go out of the hive are drones- they never reproduce at all, which throws any theory to pieces. 🙂

  3. Bees pollinate flowers; man “pollinates” woman. It’s a way of explaining by example without getting too graphic.

Birds lay eggs. It’s easy to understand a chick hatching from an egg, so all you have to do is think of the egg hatching inside the women. Birds are also a good example of parents working cooperatively in raising offspring.

It used to be a popular way of explaining a taboo subject. But in this sophisticated age, I suppose it is outdated.
