After yesterday’s farmers’ market, Son #2 and I stopped at one of our local farms, ostensibly to buy lettuce, but really to play with the chickens… Blogged.

Question by edo: Can i feed my chickens durum and whole wheat?
I have a extra large can of hard red whole kernel wheat and a can of durum wheat granular. Can i feed this to my chickens. I am worried it may expand too much for them. How much should i give them. i have 20 chickens of all varieties.

  1. Soak the whole wheat in some milk– they’ll love it. The granular stuff can be mixed in with their regular feed
