Question by Sharanya: Adopting goat as a pet?
My English is not good.
I want save animals therefore I want to Adopt a goat .But in my house street dogs cames.And there is no farm near my house.Can goat stay with me as keeping above all points?How do one brought up goat where do get informanation?

  1. It is illegal to have hoofed animals in a backyard I believe. If you have alot of farm land and are in the country you can have one. I suggest ge 2 or 3.

  2. goats need fresh water,fresh hay;which they waste at times, adequate shelter and finally excercise which means a well fenced yard because they are escape artists. good luck,check laws

  3. A goat makes a wonderful pet! They are extremely intelligent and have great memories… so don’t make it mad, because it won’t likely soon forget. They are herd animals, so if you only have one, you will be it’s “herd”. The street dogs are a problem, I have them here in Mexico as well, everywhere! You might want to keep the goat in a secure shed at night or when you can’t be there to watch out for it. Teach it to walk on a lead, and you can take it out for walks and let it nibble and graze around your area, but watch for them dogs, so your goat doesn’t get hurt!
