  4. How can i properly drain a raised bed on a rooftop floor? I was thinking of cartboard to raise te floor, with some pond plastic over, and gravel. Saw in this vid the plastic floor on the raised bed, with no drainage at all, whats up with that?

  6. Hi John it was so great to see gardening designed for the less able bodied – we often get forgotten. Gardening is a real therapy and it gives you a sense of achievement to eat your own food. Kenza is a really beautiful soul – she radiates true grace. Namaste

  7. Aloha John , I’ve been watching your videos , pretty awesome stuff you got. I’ve been wanting to start my own garden but afraid of FAILING, FAILING, FAILING… However I have 6 children who surprisingly love their veggies & very athletic & I want to keep feeding them the best of fresh & healthy, however its very expensive to keep buying especially with the size of family I have. So that being said, what can I grow being that I live in Hawaii?

  8. Your a good soul and a real man, what all men should aspire to b like as a spirit. Not the stereotype shown in media and music. It’s a sad world we live in controlled by few evil men. If everyone were more like you, this world could be closer to heaven.

  19. John – you are so inspirational! This is something that friends, service groups, churches, and concerned citizens can do for people with physical challenges and older folks. You have provided a blue print that will help people know the steps to build or make such a life enhancing contribution to a person or persons’ lives – you describe the decisions to be made beautifully! Your friend is wonderful and this will give her quality of life – -I hope that many are inspired to do this for many!

  21. I have a garden that is 14.5×3 ft. When I water it, I sing the ABC’s to every 1/3 and move on to the next 1/3. I figure that way, they get enough water and a nice little song to help them grow! Believe it or not, talking (or singing) to your greens helps!
