Have you ever thought about possibly giving other dairy products besides cows milk a chance. If not you might want to consider giving them a try, though they might not taste as good, there are many benefits that can be derived from them. In this article I will cover a few of the reasons why goats milk is better than cows milk.

Many people might not know that drinking dairy products that come from a goat or from sheep can be a lot healthier for many people than milk from a cow. This isn’t to say that non-homogenized milk from cows, especially ones that are grass fed and or organically fed, isn’t healthy.

Many people find if they are allergic to cow’s milk that they aren’t allergic to goats milk. This is because it doesn’t contain the same type of complex proteins that are present in the milk of a cow. Another great thing about goats milk is that it has a higher amount of medium chain fatty acids than any of the other type of milk. Not only that but it contains a 7% smaller concentration of lactose than does cows milk.

It has been found that in small children raw goats milk has been found to digest fully in a matter of around 20 minutes, while cows milk that has been pasteurized will take approximately 8 hours to fully digest. The big difference is in the structure of the goats milk. The molecules which make a goats milk are a lot smaller than those of cow’s milk which makes and them absorb into the digestive tract a lot faster.

These are just a few reasons why you might be tempted to give goats milk try. You never know you might actually learn to like it and it will truly be easier on your stomach.
