  1. So far, I’ve only seen the suggestion to use PVC or ABS fittings to create
    the manifold. But neither of these plastics is acceptable for UV exposure.
    I’m thinking a copper (or steel) manifold trunk, with these glued in via
    polyether caulk, and that whole trunk encased in something like a sonatube
    filled with foam insulation. The sonatube wouldn’t work either, being
    exposed. But something like that may work. Or using polyether with plastic
    fittings if it’s insulated & encased in protection?

  2. The differential expansion between the materials will crack that glued
    connection.
