Gardening Day 1 was spent making this raised bed, and prepping the area for planting. It’s not directly in front of our apartment, but it’s a great spot for sun, and it’s well off the street.

Question by David M: Can I make a raised bed garden with cinder blocks?
Concrete leaches alkali material when it gets wet. Do I need to take any precautions in order to grow vegetables (tomato, pepper, bean) to keep the soil pH from getting too high?
