"James McClatchy (above), editor of the Sacramento Bee and long-time Sacramento resident, supported the street-raising project. He believed that maintaining a positive image of the city justified the extreme measures needed to raise the streets by 15 feet. He printed nume[r]ous articles in his newspaper in support of the cause."

Question by Da Realest Pymp: What on Earth is wrong with the Tea Party?
I planned on attending a Tea Party rally the other day, and as a black man I had heard they were very accepting of minorities. I heard this on Fox News

However, as I was walking in with my sign, I was approached by an older white gentleman and was told that I wold have to pack up my things and go home. I inquired, ‘Why?’ because I am a lifelong supporter of small government and low taxes. He declined to answer, but raised his voice and accused me of being an infiltrator, whatever that is. By this time quite a throng had gathered around us, and I could feel all the beady eyes resting uncomfortably upon me as I got up to leave

I asked him once more what the problem was, but he did not answer, but I did here one of them mutter, ‘You’re the wrong color’
