The goats at Harley Farms Goat Dairy are positively loving. I’m serious. They are treated very well, and are like big ol’ pets who each give a gallon of milk a day, that is turned into very good cheese. The goats that are getting tired or start getting mastitis are retired. The male goats become brush-clearing goats. These goats are very, very happy.

  1. It is just an arbitrary government classification.

  2. They don’t, but since in the fridge are closer to the milk and cheese product.
In the old days when people grew their own cows and chicken the daily milking of the cows sent them to bring the eggs as well so that is how they ended in the same plate and category, matter of routine.

  3. You may often find eggs and dairy categorized together (several Ochef directory pages lump them together, for example), but they remain as distinct as the species from which they come.

  6. Because they are being silly? Dairy comes from Dairy cows, goats etc. Eggs come from Chickens! I have seven of the feathered excavators torturing the back yard daily, and tapping on the back kitchen door bug screen at all hours of the day because they are smart enough to know where the food comes from
