Where would be the best place to open a farm/ranch in colorado?

Question by Thor Edens: Where would be the best place to open a farm/ranch in colorado?
My wife and I are planning on starting a small farm/ dairy ranch in Colorado in a few years. We intend to raise goats, rabbits, and chickens in the beginning and conduct small scale agriculture as well (primarily herbs, cold weather fruits, and enough vegetables for ourselves). We are looking to live far enough away from major cities to have land, but close enough so that we will be able to have electricity and internet available. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  1. Bring lots of money.
Currently, in MY area, 160 acre parcels with water, etc. are selling for 250,000 and UP!
