  1. say you are talking about a rat and you said why does he give a rats a## then you would say no pun intended. IDK it’s hard to explain i can’t think of another one right now. sorry

  2. Lets say 2 gay guys live in a house. And you pass the house and you know 2 gay guys live in that house and you say wow that house looks reallly gay(gay as in you dislike the way it looks for w.e reason) after that you say “no pun intended” as if saying I didnt mean that the house is gay because of the gay guys in it i mean its gay cause its ugly..

Its a hard term to describe..

  4. Like an ironic situation.

    For instance…

You are talking about your vaccuum cleaner, and how it does a really bad job, and you were telling your friend about it. And you might say, “Yeah, my vaccuum really sucks, no pun intended.” Because the vaccuum really does suck. It sucks in air, but it also sucks in your opinion.

    I hope that makes sense.

  5. It’s when someone makes an unintentional pun because they can’t think of a better way to say it. One time my dad bought some fried chicken and the chicken had gone bad. He called the store to tell them about it and said that it tasted “foul”. This is an example of when someone makes an unintended pun. Foul sounds the same as fowl, which is another word for birds. He didn’t mean it as a pun, he just thought that foul was the best word to describe it. He said after that “no pun intended”.

edit: the vacuum “sucks” is a good example!
