Solar Water Heater

Question by A23: What are house features that you think are nice to have?
I’m not looking for the answer “swimming pool”. I’m looking for moderately priced things that can make a house nice. For example, water heater near the part of the house with sinks or sliding windows instead of double hung windows over kitchen counters or a separate door to get out of the garage instead of just a garage door or lighting under the upper kitchen cabinets.

  6. A nice big covered porch that’s goes around 2 sides of the house. If you decide against a hot tub then at least have a nice large bath tub with jets to soak in. On demand water heater. Instead of skylights install some solar tubes to get natural light into the house.

  7. I like gazebos. I also am strangely attracted to a courtyard in the front of a house. I like nice hardwood floors and french doors in the Master bedroom.

    External Window Shutters.

The kind you can control from the inside of the house and control how much light you want in or keep out. They can give total darkness, or just a little. They are great for privacy and as protection from the elements.

They’re also called roller shutters because they roll when they’re pulled up. It’s a feature that can be mounted in a home but construction companies can make them inbuilt so the roller is on the inside of the house. You can control them using a manual lever or have them automated with a remote control.

It really makes a house much nicer and it’s like a little piece of heaven.
