  1. Now that is a good idea. Eliminating the need for air stones is a big help.

methinks.. Are you going to give DWC a crack with one of these jobbies?
    Thanks for the mention sir..

  3. Nice demo. I saw one a while back where it was so powerful that you could
no longer see the fish, lol. He didn’t leave it on though.

  5. Very nicely demonstrated Dale… I’m fascinated by how this works… I love
the fact that air can be introduced without the use of addition energy
    :-)… Thanks… Chris

  6. Looks like its putting out some nice air & circulating the water really
well. I think it would work great In a DWC system. You didn’t test that out
in the kitchen did you. I pictured you having the tube going the wrong way
& spraying down the kitchen-LOL.Well done on the video- you had some great
footage in there. Thumbs up for Ricks comment !!!!

  7. I’m going to have to stop watching hydroponic videos or I’ll end up with a
    garden full of IBCs.

  8. I wonder if using a standard aerator for a sink would break up the bubbles
    more.

  9. I tried something similar a couple of months ago, but sadly a hopeless
algae issue popped up in the fish tank. I belive the aquarium received too
    much light.
Hope you get better luck with your project, than I did. 🙂

    Best wishes,
    Halvor.

  13. I recently watched Rob Bob’s (bnbob01) DIY venturi video and it looked like
so much fun I thought I’d try my hand at making a small version out of easy
to find local parts. I hope to be able to use this in future DWC or
    recirculating hydroponics experiments.

I think it would be very useful in small hydroponics, aquaponics or
    aquarium applications for water oxygenation.

  18. venturi’s are not efficient at all at aerating the water, as in order to
have an effect, you need pressure from your pump, which means you decrease
    pumped water volume

  20. Awesome venturi, the small bubbles look excellent o2. If I add a venturi
tube to the down pipe of my bell siphon it should create the same effect?
