  6. Cool! Dallas does not allow roosters in the city. Plus I don’t want one
anyways they make a lot of noise. And the neighbors would probably kill me!

  7. Be interesting to see how to let the chickens go into garden without
destroying it. I know that was always a concern growing up was to keep the
chickens out of the garden, they did eat the bugs, but they also ate, and
    scratched everything else 🙂

  13. Best of luck with them. My little city (more of a ghost town) does not
allow Farm Animals in the city limits.

  14. Thx. LOL it looked like a punching bag! You might enjoy checking out
jonathanwallace’s channel. He got chickens last year for his garden and
he’s made quite a few videos about the ups and downs of the experience.
He’s a Brit with one of those allotments they tend to have there for
gardening. Chickens prompted him to get ducks this year btw. Hope your new
chickens gobble up all the squash bugs asap.

  15. Although my favorite tasting eggs are when chickens eat grass, be careful
not to let them out on a daily basis, they will scratch your lawn to bits.
Great playlist – enjoy your eggs.

  16. How can you be sure they are hens? Also, what keeps the hawks from taking
them. A raccoon or fox will go right over the top. I usually raise ducks
but bought a dozen eggs at the farmers market for $5. Eight hatched and are
now 3 weeks old. Trying to figure out if I have males or females.
