  2. Sometimes the water heated up. I would run clean water for 2-3 days & that
would help the roots overcome the heat . most of the time I didn’t see heat
effecting my system. If heat is a concern you can add an air pump with a
air stone & that will help. Let me know if that helps & you can also add an
extra 10 gallon tank if you live in a hot climate. Let me know if you have
any other questions. Thanks for watching! Larry

  3. Thanks for the video. I also have some ideas to grows up to 10 times the
plants, by 50 % the time, with much healthier plants, while the “fish” do
all the work…” Take a look at the following website for more info:

  6. Would it be possible for you do draw a simple diagram of all the components
to make this system? I know zilch about hydroponics other than it is
‘water”! I loved your videos. I was trying to see your reservoir set up and
connections, pump, tubing, etc. and how you put it all together. I really
want to try this but don’t understand the “mechanics” of it all. I’m just
asking…only if you might find the time. Thanks so much for putting these
videos online! You have inspired me to try. Julie

  7. P.S. Maybe you could refer me to a site or video that has step by step
directions on how to build, if you do not have time to do a “drawing”. I
would appreciate that. thank you !

readily AVAILABLE…go look…Wikipedia shows that it’s all the way to
    antarctica…I used a “skiff”…once outside of town…like half a
    mile…in ANY direction…the straws were “RAMPANT”……

  13. Thanks for the info Brock ! i’m going to check into it. fox farms works
great ,but its really expensive. the clean outs really helped. i had what i
think was root rot & i rinsed the tower really good & ran only clean water
for 3 days & they bounced back really well. Iearned a lot this year & made
a bunch of mistakes, but i’m really looking forward to next year. Take Bro

  14. Nice job Larry. You’re right about the cost, certainly at the beginning.
It’s not always cheap, but the more times you use the setup, the lower your
cost basis gets. And it really is a cool way to grow, very enjoyable.

  18. Awesome Larry! that set up you have looks like it can produce. my NFT is
going for strawberries next year and I think I’ll run them up the wall very
similar to what you have there. Thanks for showing us the ROOTS Bro because
I was wondering if they were crazy. Larry do you grow them from seeds? and
about the cost? you said it all when you said the family likes it. done
deal Bro worth twice the cost. Excellent video Bro I loved it! -Brock-

weeks on this setup. This was one of my 1st videos & I left out a lot of
information. Sorry about that. Its very easy to build & operate. If there
is any thing I can do to help let me know. Larry

  23. Eh me too Bro it’s all the learning that keeps me hungry for more. I’m
trying enzymes in my reservoir next year when it gets warm and this is
“supposed” to deal with root issues like rot. yes! I rinsed mine out also
last year with water to freshen it up. it really helped. I’m looking
forward to next year also Larry, any idea what you might grow? enjoy!

area of Canada it’s about $20 a Kilo they are a dry nutrient which I
prefer. it goes a long way and I really like it. your berry’s look great
and I’m going to give it a try next year. I loved the clean out’s on the
ends Larry something I should have thought of I glued my on not knowing
