Question by Rudie Stay in Africa: Solar water heater I need some advise when it is cloud and rain?
I stay in South Africa lots of sun that mean I do not use the backup system only the sun but for the last week only rain, What will the best way to safe electricity during the raining days to keep it on the hole day or only to switch it a hour on before you shower and the switch it off again. Electricity is really expensive

  2. If you have electric hot water heater they take over an hour to heat up.So you must plan you day.Here in the states we get charged more for peak usage hours such as around dinner time. You will need to leave it on for a few hours and get your chores done, if you turn it on and off a few times a day it will cost you as much as leaving on all day Good luck
