Portable Raised Bed Garden

I created these garden beds because I was renting my last home and I didn’t want to leave my garden behind when I moved. If you rent, don’t let that stand in…

  1. There are really different techniques and tactics of setting up a raised
bed garden. Portable raised bed garden are quite good because it is
transferable enough whenever you want to re-arrange your garden. Nice
    information!

  2. I really love the cedar fence boards! If it wouldn’t take so much, I would
build up all my beds with them. Maybe over time 🙂 My husband thought I was
nuts….making a portable garden. When it came down to actually moving and
he saw nothing was left behind…I wasn’t so nuts anymore, LOL!!

  3. I live in Central Florida where we have lots of bad weather in the summer.
My husband and I had been trying to figure out how we could bring our
garden beds into the garage when we have severe weather. This is an awesome
    idea. Thanks for the video.

  6. Last year I created a really great raised bed garden at a place I thought I
was going to be for quite some time. And then the relationship ended the
end of August and the height of harvest. I left it all. The herbs, the
tomatoes, the squash and melons. I am renting again and am anticipating I
will have to move the end of summer yet again. I have been trying to figure
out something that would be portable and cheap! Thank you so much. I just
reclaimed 6 fence boards as well as 4 pallets!

  7. hi thanks for this video. Yours was the only sensible practical one I could
find without spending a fortune. I have a couple of questions though. a) Is
using cardboard advisable to line as it is going to get soggy at some point
and the soil mix might seep through. b) has the material you have used come
through in rains etc.. ie has water seeped through the bottom. I live in
India ,climate being tropical , rains a re a huge concern here. thanks
    awaiting your reply eagerly.

  9. That is great! I know I never let renting stop me from doing anything. In
fact practicing on other peoples property made me know what I wanted to do
with my own property. lol I used those same cedar boards to make a couple
of beds too. They work great. Glad you got all your stuff moved ok.

  10. That’s a great idea since you get to take the soil you worked so hard to
    build : )
