  1. It sounds naturally efficient! How long does it take to re-transform your
raised bed into a permaculture type? We all knew the fact that this method
will surely benefit the growth and production of our crops. I am thankful
    for sharing this post!

  3. Me again. Just discovered I could not hear when viewing on my virtual
windows on my iMac. When I shut it down and tried in Safari I got a blank
video screen (on You Tube) with a a notice, ‘plugin blocked’. Apparently
Apple have blocked all older versions of Flash during an update and you
need to download the newest version. Once I did this I could view the
videos in Safari and hear the videos when viewing in my virtual windows
program. My PC was not affected. Maybe this is what you need to try.

  6. Shotgun, pistols, bow and arrow. They get veggies and you get some meat.

  8. Add like three chickens to your yard maybe. They really add manure and eggs
to your table. Sometimes the garden is just there and nothing to do much of
and the birds lay each day bringing you to the yard. They also like all the
scraps from the garden. Start with three. They really feed you and make
your garden a better place and are easy to care for.

  9. Glad it helped. This also works if the volume of a video is, on the other
hand, too “loud” to begin with (thereby bringing the voume “down” to CD
audio standard). For tips like that, I totally recommend Computeractive’s
website. They also sell a magazine in the newsagents for about 2 pounds or
so. I cannot remember the price exactly as I haven’t bought it in a while.
Whatever the price, they often give away free software and guides written
in plain english good for experienced or beginner users.

  10. 1The sound problem comes from the recording and editing, before it was
uploaded to Youtube – you should be able to change it with the software you
used to edit it otherwise you’ll just have to get closer to the mic and
speak louder when you’re recording. I have big speakers and was able to
turn the volume up high but many people use poor quality laptop speakers
and people on portable devices won’t hear a thing – however the video is
otherwise great so it’s only one small problem to fix.

  13. I hear you perfectly, although the voice is low, never mind. The raised
beds look great and I’m looking into the alfalfa plant as I see a lot of
people using it. Thanks a lot for the advise.

  14. Thanks for this Laurence. As for your “rant” it must be the most polite,
mild-mannered rant I have ever heard lol. Do you use or have you
experimented with green manures? One thing permaculturists do seem to be
very keen on is NO bare soil. If no green manures do you use any other form
of mulch? As for the volume it is low but fine with earphones. 🙂

  15. To ensure your sound is at a volume everybody can hear, no matter their
computer or equipment, the simple way to prevent problems is to set the
sound to the industry standard volume for Audio CD players. This is called
“normalising” (or “normalize”). If you export the audio of your video by
saving it as a “Wav” file, you can load that into Audacity (free software
found online). Look for the “normalize” option to click in the menus. Then
save the wav again and drag drop it into your video editor.
