He always goes nuts for our food so it’s obvious they’re feeding him like chicken and stuff.

Shall I put a brick through their window?

  1. Take the brick and bang yourself on the head with it. The only thing that is obvious is that if you kept your damn cat indoors where it belongs, it wouldn’t be eating the food the neighbors have it would be eating your food.

  2. Don’t listen to the first answer (Mircat). Cats need to be allowed outside. If you kept them inside all day long it would be cruel.

Go and talk to your neighbour and politely explain that you would prefer it if they didn’t feed your cat.

    Or
Go round “crying” saying that your cat is very sick because somebody else has been feeding your cat food and he was allergic to it. Hopefully they will think it was them and stop feeding your cat!
    hope I helped.

  3. How about keeping the cat in your house and on your property and not letting him roam unsupervised. That would resolve your issue.

  4. Definitely don’t put a brick through anyone’s window. Not unless you want to get in trouble with the police and start a lengthy feud with your neighbours.

Cats are opportunistic hunters and some won’t turn down the offer of free food from elsewhere. If you are certain the neighbours are feeding him, then just have a polite word asking them not to. If you only suspect he’s being fed elsewhere then get him a “do not feed” breakaway collar.

  5. Ask them to stop. If they don’t report them to the local council or something. And don’t trap your cat in the house just because someone else is feeding it. They’re animals, they need to roam.

  6. Keep your cat inside for about a week and feed him so that he gets used to the fact you feed him and this is where his home is. Then let him back outside again obviously 🙂

I would also go have a ‘polite’ word with the neighbours and explain that although it is nice they are taking an interest in your cat you would appreciate it if they didn’t allow him into the house or feed him as he is your cat and not theirs. But do not be too harsh on them to begin with as they might be trying their best to shoo him away and keep him out.

    Good luck!
