is this the end of the line for my female guppy?

Question by Ichigo: is this the end of the line for my female guppy?
i have a female guppy that is black, a week ago i noticed that her color started to fade and lately she hasn’t been active. Now i found her today motionless but alive.

my question is:
is it the end of her line in life?
i had her for a long time, i raised her from a little fry to the biggest female guppy in my tank. :'(

  1. it probbaly is because when i had a beta a loong time ago he started to become motionless too and when he would sink he would flap a fin for a lil bit to not fall but then stop and i knew it was his time and he died.

  3. I am sorry about your Guppy… :♥

Have you took her to the pet store to get her looked at..?
If not then you should try that.
Otherwise it might seem like she might bee Letting go …
some guppys live longer than others. But generally ther only live a short time..

    Good Luck..

  5. She does sounds very sick- does she have any other symptoms other than being listless, like white/stringy poop, rapid breathing, inflamed anus or unusual markings or growths etc? Have you tested the tank for ammonia, nitrites & nitrates? (Ammonia & Nitrites should be 0 at all times, Nitrates between 1 & 40)

She could be dying of a disease so its important to identify whats going on with her even if it is too late, as if she has anything nasty it could be passed onto the other fish.
