Question by : Is it likely that goat’s milk ….?
This was a question I asked a while ago as to whether goat’s milk can make your urine smell strong and had several varying answers. I now know for sure that, yes, it does make it smell, of goats! I have now gone back to ordinary cow’s milk because I was so self conscious about it.

  1. Congratulations on using your observations! Most of us would be better off if we were better observers.

Cow’s milk smells also, but in our culture we don’t notice it. People from cultures where nobody drinks it think we smell like fermented milk or cheese.

The odors you experienced are mostly caproic acid, one of three fatty acids found in goat milk: caprylic, caproic, and capric. the CAPR prefix refers to goats (as in Capricorn).
