Question by sexy legs: Is goat milk ok for my kittens ?
I bought kitten milk from asda last week and it said on the packaging it was goats milk and i then realised i may be cheaper buying a pint of goats milk which would also be fresh for them at a fraction of the cost . Do you think the goat milk i bought is ok for them ? They both drink it and are very healthy lively little kitties ..

Best thing to do is check with the vet as milk straight from a goat might need treating in some way for kittens — so read lable again to see what else maybe in there.

Well im not 100% sure b ut i know that kitten milk has a certain thing removed from it as cats! although they love milk are lactos intolerant, or summit i wud suggest keep gettin the wee kitten milk to be sure, they dont need alot either just as a treat but make sure they have access to water alll the time!

Yes, goat’s milk is fine or milk specially formulated for cats and kittens. Most cats are lactose intolerant.

Goat’s milk is fine – it’s richer than cow’s milk and is more nutritious.
I weaned a whole litter of kittens using goat’s milk mixed with dried kitten food, as I lived close to a goat farm and was able to buy it fresh. All the kittens (7) thrived and grew into strong healthy cats.

I am not too sure, but i don’t think it is proper to do so. I knew that the milk for cat has lesser amount of….fat, may be, i forgot(but i am sure there is something). That’s why the goat milk may not be suitable. For more information, I suggest you to go for a vet.

My sister is a registered cat rescuer. She actually uses goat’s milk to bottle feed. The babies do so much better on it. It is all she uses, instead of the replacement milk. And when we bottle fed a squirrel, the vet actually told her to use goat’s milk on it. For some reason, goat’s milk is much better than cow’s milk.

My cat Shah has a very delicate tum but he has goats milk yogurt and loves it.If in doubt have a word with your Vet.
