  1. I’m surprised u bought those of all leds…u seem to really know your stuff but u got burned on those leds..they r next to worthless even if they were cheap..

  3. nope! These did really poorly and died w/o producing any fruit after a couple months. You probably need a lot more light!

  5. Thanks for the suggestion! The 14w cheapo-LED panels were a cost-benefit compromise in light (heh) of the system’s location next to a south-facing window…they’re more to offset seasonal variances in light than to provide full coverage.
    The wattage of LED panels is not necessarily the best metric, though, as their electrical efficiency and spectral properties mean that 1W of LED light is more “useful” to the plants than a watt of HP or incandescent light…
