  1. heres the problem, especially in southern climates, small self contained
systems are difficult to control water temperature. many greens hate hot
roots, I would not recommend this south of zone 6

  4. Durham county NC won’t let you do this at your house. They say it “looks
commercial”. I tried it, the city shut me down. Facist pigs.

  9. The earthbox is filled with an approved Potting Mix or Potting Soil.
Basically its mostly peat moss plus perlite or vermiculite.

  13. In this system, it does not. He could set up some catch containers and then
pump it back into the tank. He has an automatic float that fills up the
    tank when it gets low.

  19. Tripped me up too…I thought it was some sort of mayoral pendant or the
special growing crystal that he rubs on everything to make it grow. But
then it occured to me that the sound level was outstanding. I suspect it is
a microphone. A really stylish microphone. Not as groovy as those shoes
    though.

  22. Great video, John! Vertical gardening at home is really a great way to grow
the finest food in bulk. The Urban Farmer is really a great opportunity for
growers in Florida to garden all year-long since it offers different tools
for both indoor and outdoor gardening setup. All states should have a
    similar sanctuary for growers!

  23. Don’t these vertical containers that are so tall form different
microclimates on every side? one side gets morning sun while the opposite
side gets late afternoon sun. One side full sun while the other is shade, I
don’t know. I think it is confusing. Do they really work planting the same
    plant on all sides?

thicker material and are more durable.
