  2. The only Kitchen Aids that are decent at kneading tough bread dough are their top end models (not the PR0 600 series) but either the NSF 900+ watt commercial Kitchen Aid or the 900+watt Pro-Line. Otherwise, you are better off getting a $300 Bosch that can knead bread dough much better that any kitchen aid mixer.

  7. Making this right now, it’s resting. I was just wondering, does it make 2 loaves of bread?

  14. . What I learned is that one and a half cup of any fluid plus any flour will do just fine… over that amount of fluid and the kitchen aid starts to struggled, I learned the hard way… push the limits and learn what the equipment can do for you.

  15. I just got my 6 qt KA PRO. 600 delivered from Amazon lastnight! I am trying it out today.. I ordered this one, because of the 575 Watt motor and ability to handle 14 cups white or 8 cups whole wheat flour. I grind my own wheat ( I have a Nutrimill), so I need that power, even though there are no longer alot of people to bake for daily, I needed that TORQUE!! If you follow directions to the Letter, it will be alright. The KA will cut off for safety if it is working to hard.. Research.

  16. Does the five quart artisan series handle 7 cups of bread (or whole wheat) flour, kneading it for 15 minutes without burning and destroying the motor? I’ve read alot of reviews that say this cannot make two loafs of wheat bread without straining the motor.

  18. We make bread every Friday, but what I trying to say is after you do your stuff consistently, you will know how you want your bread to look, feel and taste like it, called French, ciabata or signatures bread, you start from a base recipe, and you adapt the recipe to your technique, equipments, and lifestyle…
By the way I do roll the bread (sometimes) it catches air and makes it very nice, also IWhat I love right now is mixing an old dough with a new batch, for texture; Thanks.

  19. First time bread maker here. Doing alot of research and watching alot of videos on how to make good french bread. I am wondering after the 1st rest why didn’t you punch it down, knead it again, roll it, then shape loaves and let the dough rest before putting it into the oven?
