How do I contain my chicken?

Question by : How do I contain my chicken?
Okay so I have a pet chicken in the front yard. Normally I free range her and put her in her little house at night but she doesn’t like it at all and tries to topple her food and water and flies out whenever I open it. I’m really scared that other wild animals might get her if I don’t keep an eye on her every minute. Please don’t tell me to put her in the backyard as I have a dog too and the chicken doesn’t like the dog. Please give me some ideas. I may or may not be able to build a coop or buy one. Is there any other solution?

  1. If you don’t live in the country it is not wise to have a chicken in your front yard. I don’t know anything about chickens but it seems like getting a coop is your only option. I guess you can build it, search “chicken coop plans” on google. If you are not good at constructing and using power tools, I would suggest saving the trouble and just buying one.
